Aloe Vera plant care and description

    aloe vera The Aloe Vera plant is a succlent. Botanical name: Aloe barbadensis. It does not like cold temperatures. Click on photo to the left for a LARGER image.

    There are about 300 or so species of aloe vera. If you live in a climate that never gets below 32degress fahrenheit your aloe vera should do fine outdooors. However if you live in colder type climate you can still use them as a house plant. During winter you should only water about once or twice at the most per month.

    Care of Aloe Vera

    Yes...this plant does have medicinal properties. It is best used for burns, minor cuts and insect bites. It can releive the itch and does prevent blisters.
