Also called the bird nest fern or spleenwort. It is in the fern Aspleniaceae family (Asplenium nidus). There is also the wavy variety which looks like a
crumpled up leaf. The more humidity the longer the leaves or fronds which can grow to about 15-28" in length.
Bird Nest Plants like lots of humidity and should be placed indoors with indirect sunlight. They will thrive inside a bath or shower room.
The should be watered about every other day. Do not let them dry out before the next watering.
The leaves can be easily bruised by folks who can't resist touching them. Place them further away from heavy traffic.
