    Landscaping with daisies

Most daisies are attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds, plus they are resistant to deer. Many varities are winter hardy to USDA Zones 10-11 and they are grown as an annual in other cooler climatic zones.

Most of these plants will do well in the desert southwest. Be sure to deadhead spent flowers to encourage additional bloom. It's easy to deahead flowers just use a good pair of sissors and clip off at the next leaf below. Do this to all flowers that do not look good. This will ensure a long blooming season.

The deeply cut, dark green leaves are very fragrant when bruised. Most daisies are rarely bothered by insects and diseases. Check out the daisies below, click on daisy picture for zone requirements and descriptions.
