Mother In Law Houseplant

Mother in law houseplant. This houseplant has long narrow hard edged leaves. The tips are pointy and can easily penetrate your skin. Hmmmm.... I wonder if the guy/girl who first coined the name "mother in law's tongue plant" had issues with his/her mother in law?

Anyway this plant likes to be dried out before watering again. It is sometimes called the snake plant. It is used only as an indoor plant in the southwest. It is very easy to grow and rarely needs any attention at all. This plant is great for Santa Fe style indoor decorating.
