    Thyme Plants

Thyme plants are very easy plants to take of, once established they require little water. They also do well in the lower elevations of the southwest. It is an evergreen shrub or groundcover with violet blue type blooms thru the spring, summer and fall months. These herb plants can be used for cooking purposes.

There are thousands of cooking recipes that call for adding "fresh Thyme" into all types of dishes, basically fowl and soup recipes.

Do not plant where temperatures get below 5 degress farenheight.

These plants will do great in containers. The dwarf creeping thyme looks best in a large container as it will droop over the pot. The plant will get woody as it ages, this is when you should trim or seperate into 2 or 3 more plants.

Creeping thyme can be used as a landscaping groundcover they will do great in herb or rock gardens. Color Your World nurseries will have numerous varieties of Thyme plants during the spring seasons. Come by and visit us at 540 N. Telshor Las Cruces, NM.
